Things Digestive

Well, I suppose it's been a while since I update you on my health issues. I've been on a maintenance-type medication for my stomach/ digestive ailments for about two months now, but when I go off them (as I inadvertently did on Sunday) I'm back to square one. I've consulted with a gastroenterologist and I am scheduled for a colonoscopy/ endoscopy on Friday.

For the uninitiated that means a liquid diet tomorrow (and nothing red or purple-colored! think about it), with lovely pills and a magic potion in the evening. Followed by... being all ready.

Beloved is taking me, of course. I understand the preparation is far worse than the tests themselves (because I will be out).

I am a little scared. Five months of clean living doesn't erase nearly thirty years of not treating my body very well at all. Here's hoping for good results. Here's praying for the grace and strength to deal with whatever the results might be.

Good luck with that. I went through it last year at just this time. Long story, but it started with a dx of Hep A (wrong,) then hepatic ducts blocked with gall stones, then had an ERCP which caused pancreatitis, then open gall bladder removal (to avoid another ERCP). Took September through January. I survived!

I know I mentioned this once before, Cecilia, but I went through the same last year at this time, and in the end, the only ruling was "stress." I had every test in the world--of course, generating even more stress as I worried what they would all reveal. In the end, I simply had to get rid of some of the bad energy lingering in my soul and body both....this is a process I continue to work on. May your results bring you clarity and calm.

I've been through the same test. The prep is the worst part. I'll be praying for good results.

greetings CP,
it is wonderful the way that God reveals what is wrong in order to correct it.

you may have disciplined yourself for 5 months, and feel that may not be enough to erase years of not doing so--but God's Perfect healing will take over since your dedication to Him has been so loving and consistant.

I have fearless confidence in His perfect healing of your physical health issues.
May the strength of His holy Spirit keep and comfort you during this time.
Praises have been said to Him on your behalf!
Amen!

Oh, darlin. Prayers for a good result, for an easy fast (and how ironic!), and for a not-too-icky-tasting magic potion.

Belated prayers, dear friend, that the process was as non traumatic as possible and will give good information for your healing.
