Seven Songs I'm Digging Right Now Meme

Eileen (always delightful) did this meme recently. I want to do it too.

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they’re not any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying now, shaping your summer. Post these instructions in your blog along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they’re listening to.

1. "Shut Up and Let Me Go" by the Ting Tings.

2. "I Envy the Wind" by Lucinda Williams.

3. "Casimir Pulaski Day" by Sufjan Stevens.

4. "Perfect World" by the Indigo Girls.

5. "Waste" by Smashmouth.

6. "Crazy" by Seal.

7. "West" by Lucinda Williams.

I won't be tagging anyone... but let me know if you play.

I haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about, sirrah! (If I did, then I might.)

I skulk here in the background regularly. I really like this challenge. So, in no particular order, not particularly following the rules:

1. "Joy to the World". You know, the Christmas song. Been singing it a lot lately in this Pentecost season.

2. Disappear Fear: Almost all her stuff is great. Two favorites I guess would be, at least today, "Fallin'" and "Mica Moca" from her latest and maybe best IMO album (showing my age) TANGO.

3. "Love Song for a Savior"--Jars of Clay

4. Indigo Girls, aka, "the girls": Last two albums have been superb. I think "Free in You" is one of the best love songs ever. Also like "Money Made You Mean".

5. "Abundantly" and "Renew" by Avalon.

6. "Wicked Little High"--Bird York

7. "Who Am I" is magnificent. Also like "Stained Glass Masquerade". Both by Casting Crowns.

Thanks for the fun.

And thanks for you. You bless me regularly.

anything by the Indigo Girls is always a favorite and now I have some new ones to listen to. I'm waiting for something new by Sarah McLaughlin...anyone know anything?
