The Deep Freeze

I'm dealing with it: Beloved's tendency to isolate, go away, freeze up when she's nervous or scared.

But may I just say? It sucks.

you may say so. just hang in there. she appreciates you just being there even though she can't admit it right now.

I did not find my beloved partner for many years so I became used to protecting myself, under a metaphorical rock, in isolation. My BP has on more than one occasion in my dark moods crept under that rock with me. Your Beloved cannot help but retreat, it's her nature, but she is so lucky to have your steady presence in her life and I know that she feels it.
